We are an eighteen-hole public golf course in Athol, Massachusetts. We provide a pro shop, 19th hole and banquet hall facilities. member owned and run by a board of directors who govern all policies and by-laws.
Ellinwood Country Club opened its doors in 1929, offering only 9 holes. These nine holes were designed by world renowned golf course architect Donald Ross. by 1965, an eighteen hole course was desired by all. With the help of Geofferey Cornish, another great golf architect, Ellinwood country club added its final nine holes around the original course. Throughout the decades the course has been an important role in the identity of the town of Athol, from its home town feel to the annual tournaments.
